»Isles & Rivers« is a program in flux, along solidifying and dissolving boundaries. European baroque music as well as pieces by Sokratis Sinopoulos, Keyvan and Bijan Chemirani flow together through improvisations and invite you to get out and back into the river on different banks – sometimes foaming wildly, sometimes quietly. In his piece »Knowing Nothing«, Yannis Kyriakides, who is also on stage as a live electronic artist, dedicated himself to the philosopher Metrodorus from the island of Chios.
»Isles & Rivers« left enthusiastic audiences at performances in Berlin, Greece and Luxembourg. Now the project can be experienced again in cooperation with Hellerau at Zentralwerk Dresden with the outstanding soloists Sokratis Sinopoulos on the lyre and Bijan and Keyvan Chemirani on Persian percussion as well as an Outernational string quintet.
